  • Graduated in Psychomotor Rehabilitation by the Faculty of Human Motricity (former Special Education and Rehabilitation degree), she is attending the master in Psychomotor Rehabilitation in the aforementioned faculty. In 2009 she concluded the Post-Graduation in Exercise and Health for Special Needs Population in the Faculty of Sports’ Sciences and Physical Education of the University of Coimbra, where she developed her master thesis, “The barriers felt by Physical Education teachers while trying to include special needs students in their classes – interviews done to second cycle basic education teachers throughout the country”, which waits public defense. Currently collaborates with the PIN-ED group (PIN-Education) and with the Autism Specter Disorders and Cognitive Impairment Group, working with schools/families/partners that look for a PIN answer. Has experience in intervening with special needs children and youngsters and developed a special interest in intervention with children and youngsters with multiple disabilities and rare syndromes. She also works with schools in what special needs processes are concerned helping teachers to implement the necessary educational measures. Her work consists also in promoting the relationship between schools and families, in creating strategies towards an inclusive education promotion and in developing partnerships between educational contexts and social answers
